Half-Hourly (HH) Capacity Level Reductions

Transmission Network Use of System (TNUoS) charges recover the cost of installing and maintaining the transmission system in England, Wales, Scotland and offshore.

The National Energy System Operator (NESO) publishes Transmission Demand Residual tariffs which are passed through the suppliers to their electricity customers which can be unnecessarily expensive.

Customers can save considerably on their electricity standing charge costs if the capacity level is reduced moving you to a lower non-locational demand residual band.

By reducing the capacity level, customers will also lower their distribution capacity costs.

Both the standing charge cost and capacity cost savings are continuous and so a proposal which saves over £10,000 per year in electricity costs from the effective date of the agreement is worth reviewing.
